Allium Partners recently completed a search on behalf of Inland American, placing Chris Covey as Senior Vice President, Transactions in the firm’s Oak Brook, IL headquarters office.

At Inland American, Covey will report to Michael Podboy, an Executive Vice President of Investments. Before joining Inland, Covey worked as a Managing Director of Acquisitions for Kimco Realty Corporation out of that firm’s Rosemont, IL office. There he had responsibility for originations, negotiation structuring, and closing retail investment opportunities throughout the central US. Before joining Kimco in 2002, Covey worked at Heller Financial as a Director and Investment Officer after beginning his career at Heitman/JMB Advisory Corporation.

Inland American is a self-managed REIT focused on the acquisition, development and management of shopping centers. The portfolio comprises over 160 properties totaling 24 million square feet, and primarily includes power, community, neighborhood and lifestyle centers located across 34 states nationwide.
